Question : Problem: Apple Mac Book Wireless Not Working

Hello,
I have a Mac Book and cannot connect to the internet. It would show that I have a connection but then it seems that it would kick me off after I open Safari. I also have a Mac Book Pro in my house and that works fine and is able to access the internet. What troubleshooting can I do to fix this problem?

What are your Airport Network settings?

Are you set for DHCP?

Do you get a valid IP address (i.e. one not starting with 169.)?

What security do you have on your router (None, WEP, WPA)?

Are you asked for a password when you connect?

Are you sure the MacBook is connecting to your router and not someone else's (a neighbour's, perhaps).
