Question : Problem: Spilled water on laptop it died and wont power on

A friend spilled water on his Sony Vaio and it just died. No power no nothing. I tried it all, pulled apart, let it dry, pulled out battery and nothing works. No lights no action no noise. So can anyone tell me what a motherboard for a sony Vai laptop cost and where to get one? Sony web chat was useless, guy wants me to bring to certified service place$$$

Nobus is right, to get the cheapest parts for the money you have to go to ebay. Most computers on there have a similar life to your friends. Except some have broken LCD's and they sell the rest as parts and some other little things break and they put the motherboards and other working parts on ebay. I say give it a try because if you don't buying it from sony or another company will cost you an arm and a leg.
