Question : Problem: Looking for audio codec to read wav files.
hi,
I am trying to open a .wav file with windows media player and i got the following error message:
The audio codec identified by the format tag 8180 is required to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click Web Help
i looked and could not find such an audio codec. i also tried to play it with quicktime and itunes.

Answer : Problem: Looking for audio codec to read wav files.
It turns out that this format was actually very specific to the legal industry and I actually had to obtain a player from an attorney who has access to the legal software. So, in essence I answered my own questions.
Thanks for your help.
