Question : Problem: USB mouse hangs have to unplug and plug back in to unstick the mouse

My mouse hangs working on a windowsXP workstation.  I have to unplug at the USB port and plug it back in to unstick it.  I unistalled and re-installed the driver.  That helped for 1 day, then it started to hang again.

Yes.  I added a hub.  The problem has not happened since.
