Question : Problem: Rebuilding a RAID5 set

Hi there experts,
I have a server running on the Asus P5LD2 motherboard with onboard RAID support (Intel Matrix system). I set up 3 250GB disks in RAID5 and thought I should be safe if one of them failed. However now one disk failed, I have replaced the disk, but server won't boot. In the RAID config program there is no option to recreate or rebuild the RAID set.
Option 1: Create new RAID set gives an "not enough space" error message
Option 2: Delete RAID set is not good territory as it warns me about deleting all data
Option 3: Reset disks to NON-RAID the same.
Option 4: Exit. Well that doesn't help me a lot.

Can anyone give me a hint on how to proceed without the hassle of restoring backups etc etc
