Question : Problem: How Can The Canon Powershot SD300 Camera Be Used As A Skype Camera on A Powerbook?

My digital camera takes video clips and can monitor live video in its window. The camera also can connect to my Mac Powerbook to transfer pictures and videos stored on its SD card.

Is it possible to use the live video function of the camera as a Skype camera? Do I need some software for this?

Right now, I simply connect my camera with a USB cable and open Skype. Under 'video source', I do not see any camera. My Powerbook G4 has no built in camera.

No, it can not be used as a web cam or skype cam, there is no "live feed" going from the camera through USB.  The USB is for file transfer only.
