BSOD normally happen when after reimaging or replacing a hard drive becuase the hardware that windows expects to see has changed.
If this image was made from the same pc you are restoring to make sure you have not added or removed any hardware. Upgraded graphics sound Etc.
if you are reimaging to another pc or another hard drive then this will happen. There is not much you can do to ge around this. you may be able to boot from a recovery cd and restore the registery to the safe repair image but this will mean having to reinstall all programs. but atlest you might be able to get any work off the drive if you have any on you need
