Question : Problem: No Audio Device listed in Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices

I am having trouble getting Windows XP to understand it has a sound blaster X-FI Extreme Gamer audio card.  The card has been installed with no problem.  When the system boots up and log in, it has a wonderful sound.  Once I am logged in no other applications can deliver sound because the control panel says No Audio Devices.  I have tried disabling the internal audio via the BIOS and have reinstalled the drivers multiple times.  I have also remove any applications that I coud think that may be causeing this problem such as itunes.  If anyone has seen this problem any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kenny
