Question : Problem: Backup Ipod content

Hello
I need to fully restore my iPod, meaning that the hard drive will be erased.
Before doing that, I would like to backup the content so that, once restored, I can transfer back all the songs and videos in one single shot (instead of one by one using iTunes).
What is the best iPod backup software which will allow me to do that?

You didn't mention whether you were using Windows or OSX?

As the iPOd is essentially a USB external drive almost any backup application will do what you require.

The main issue to note is that on the iPod there are a number of System Files or Hidden Folders which store settings etc. You need to be sure to copy these.

On the PC have a look at Anapod Explorer or CopyPod - on OSX you could use Apple Disk Utility ot Carbon Copy Cloner to create a disk image of the iPod.
