Question : Problem: CPU fans - how many different types are there?

Customer phoned - I did work for her a year ago - PC is approx 3 - 6 years old.

Error - "CPU fan not connected"  

Ive a feeling I wont be able to determine processor type til Im on site.

Presuming thats not a loose cable I need to get a fan.  

How many different types are there?
If I want to stock some what ones are the more popular ones?

You should stock at least one for every type you are supporting.
