Question : Problem: Memory Upgrade
I have two Dell computers - one desktop and one notebook, and they both have a 512MB RAM module each. I intend to add 1GB single unit memory module to each. Each computer will then have 2 memory modules - one 512MB module and one 1GB module. Will there be a problem with the size difference in the memory modules?
Answer : Problem: Memory Upgrade
It is unlikely it will cause a problem unless the mainboards require matched memory.
Try the crucial memory advisor, it will tell you what configurations are OK.
