Question : Problem: Digital Camera battery is dying quicker!

My digi camera has been working fine until now. I bought it 2 years back so its not very old. But recently the battery has been dying out sooner and when i change the modes now a days it is going blank ie. black screen before switching modes. What could be the problem?

i think the battery is just shot.  can you post the exact information about the camera, model, etc., and i'll see what can be done?
