Question : Problem: sound in windows vista

i bought HP Pavilion dv6 laptop
i am facing small problem when playing movies, for example:
when i play movie using cyberlink power dvd, the sound is very very low even when i make 100% high.

when i play quick time, the sound acceptable even when it is 100%

when i play classic player, it is higher than quick time player

i do not know how to set the default sound in windows to higher level

the icon in the bottom left is in the higher level

any help :)

Answer : Problem: sound in windows vista

There is a setting in PowerDVD to fix this.  You have to go to Advanced Audio Properties under the miscellaneous tab.  At the top it says Dynamic Range Compression and by default is set to "Quiet Room".  Change it to "Noisy Environment - strongly recommended for laptops".  This will fix your problem.
