Question : Problem: Printing on local network while using Sonicwall VPN

I have a client using a Sonicwall Appliance on their exchange server.  They have one laptop (configured by someone other then me).  They use the Sonicwall client to connect to the exchange server.  I loaded printer drivers for a printer on the local network and had no problem printing from the laptop.  The Sonicwall gave an IP of 192.168.1.227 to this laptop.  Local network IP is 192.168.1.4.  The SECOND laptop which I configured, I thought identically has the Sonicwall client connected to the exchange server.  I loaded the printer drivers for the printer on the local network and could NOT get the laptop to print to it.  If I DISCONNECT the VPN, it prints just fine.  The VPN IP is 192.168.1.228 and the Local network IP is 192.168.1.5.

There must be a setting I have missed.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Answer : Problem: Printing on local network while using Sonicwall VPN

I fixed the problem after chatting with Sonicwall Tech support.  They had me go into network neighborhood, then to "advanced" on the menu bar, then advanced settings, then make sure my local area network was listed first...in adapters & bindings...it has to be listed above the sonicwall.  Once I made the change, the printer started working.
