Question : Problem: FDisk and other hard disk partition softwares

How can harddisk be devided into partitions by FDISK method .........(plz describe briefly) also if there is a third party software which is very easy to use ...plz recommend its use too .................i usually use DM ...(disk manager)...but the problem with it is that it never shows my Full harddisk space ......usually it shows less than half the hard disk ...compared with Fdisk ....Fdisk shows complete hard disk ??? (there is nothing wronge with the harddisk cause it is new)

Don't worry about LBA48. If you have a disk larger than 2GB then just make sure you enable large disk support in fdisk when and if you are asked. Also, check out this guide for using FDISK...I've used it more than once.

As spec_ mentioned above "partition magic" is the "premier tool" for managing disk partitions.
Now, one thing to note is this: if you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP you can use Disk Manager to create partitions, volumes, and other fun stuff. To get to it, simply follow these steps:
1. Click Start 2. Click Run 3. In the run box type "diskmgmt.msc"
