Question : Problem: Remote desktop connection not functioning
We have two clients on our network who's workstations do not allow remote desktop connection to work. I can ping the computers by either IP or computer name with no problems, "allow uses to connect remotely" is checked, with no restrictions, windows firewall is disabled via group policy, and all workstations are running XP 32-Bit w/ SP3. The problem is: When the computer name, or IP address is typed into the remote desktop screen, I click connect and the screen disappears for one second, then refreshes back to the original screen with the the computer name still entered. I can connect to 130 other clients with no problems, but not these two.
Answer : Problem: Remote desktop connection not functioning
This could be related to video drivers on the workstations.
Have you updated them recently?
May be worth a shot.
