Question : Problem: Processor overheat issue

I am working on a clients desktop that is having some heat issues. The customer was stating that it would often freeze and shutdown on its own. I installed MBM5 to monitor the heat. The highest cpu temp was 175. It stayed cool until we started running several programs then it shot up fast. The case temp was always good. I opened it up and made sure all the fans were working, which they were. I am inclined to think that the processor is going bad though im not sure why it is overheating with all fans working. Any insight on this issue is greatly appreciated.

Answer : Problem: Processor overheat issue

If the heat sink/fan  are seated and working correctly and still its still over-heating then the processor is probably going bad. However, it could possibly be a problem with the motherboard also.
