Question : Problem: Bios Fault
|
|
Morning, I am presently working on a Compaq Presario 7000. Looks like an old machine Prabably 2000. Pentium III with 256 mb RAM. On boot up the machine checks the RAM and then gives a fault "162-System Options not set". My research indicates that it may have been the Bios Battry gone flat so I replaced this with no affect. I try entering the Bios by pressing F10, and the system checks the Ram and then says it's entering the Bios, however I get the same fault. Nothing I have tried lets me either enter the Bios or boot past this point. Any suggestions would be Greatly recieved.
