Question : Problem: Emulate a PS2 keyboard with another PC

I have a measurement system with a DOS based application (no souce code available). It is connected to a handling system with a selfmade software(Windows). The idea is to control the DOS computer via the PS2 keyboard interface.
Is it possible to connect the serial port from one PC to the PS2 port on the other PC, an emulate the keystrokes?

I believe this can be done by redirecting TTY input from the COM port. A common practice in the days of communications programs before Windows.
