Question : Problem: analog camera surveillance output

Setup:

1. I have 4 analog surveillance cameras, 540 lines, that monitor products coming off a conveyor belt.

2. They are connected to a "quad mux" through bnc connectors.

3. Out put can be either 4 cameras or one camera.  Output is to the RCA composite connector on a 37 inch crt television.  Picture is adequate to about 10 feet.

4. I would like to replace the tv with a 52 inch or larger television.  The problem with this is that they are wide screen 16:9 format unless I purcase a very expensive monitor 4:3 format that was designed specifically for surveillance.

5. The television will be located in a very well lighted room with no option to dim the lights.

Does anyone have knowledge and/or first hand experience in using wide screen tv for output from analog videl surveillance cameras?

Suggestions?

Answer : Problem: analog camera surveillance output

The solution should be fairly simple: most HDTVs let you choose the display options, such as 16:9, 4:3, stretch-to-fit, zoom, or letterbox.  They typically have input ports that will handle any AV input, and composite video should be easy, if that is what you have now.
