Question : Problem: Connection problems with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and WAPs

I seem to be having serious connection issues between laptops using the Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG nics and the Enterasys AP 4102 Roam Abouts

I have 150 students trying to connect in the morning.  The rooms have about 30-40 students each and each room has 2 WAPs.

About 60% of the students try and login and get a message saying the domain is unavailable.  Some will wait for about 1-2 minutes and then the connection is made to the WAP.

I have 4 models of laptops

Dell 610 and 620 using Broadcom NICs with little problems connecting

Lenovo R61s and Dell 630s have the Intel NICS and they are giving me the head aches.

Any input would be appreciated on what to look for or try to improve initial connectivity.

Sorry about the delays. Do a custom install with the Intel Pro wireless software.  You will have to install admin toolkit.  Under tools > Administrator Tool, you can create a package. Under the second tab is Pre-logon/Common.  That is where you can set it up
