Question : Problem: Blackberry email bounce back
|
|
When user 'A' sends mail to user 'B' (same OU) user 'A's email arrives in user 'B's exchange mailbox but does not arrive in user 'B's blackberry mailbox.
User 'A' get's the following bounce back:
Your message: To: username@somedomain Subject: RE: 7, information deleted Sent Date: 07:05 +0000 has not been delivered to the recipient's BlackBerry Handheld. The returned error status is
It ony does this when user 'A' sends mail to user 'B'. Any other user (same OU) who sends mail to user 'B' does not receive a bounce back and mail arrives in user 'B's exchange mailbox and user 'B's blackberry mailbox.
Any ideas? Cheers

Answer : Problem: Blackberry email bounce back

first thing to look for is the suffix of the email addy in the SMTP list. Sometimes sites use more than one SMTP suffix and depending on the order, the blackberry service may be allowing only the one through. So if the default is something else (@mycompany.com vs @myawesomecompany.com) then the blackberry server may bounce it because of relay restrictions.
