Question : Problem: 1 Gig NIC card not at full speed on Compaq (HP) machine

I have a Compaq/HP SR5030NX, that I have disabled the onboard LAN and installed a 1 Gig NIC (D-Link)... it will only go to 100 Mbps... I had the same problem with a another machine, disabled the onboard LAN and got it full speed. However, the Compaq/HP will not go full speed.

Any ideas on how to fix this? (I will NEVER purchase another Compaq/HP product again!)

Did you try my suggestion of changing the link speed and duplex to 1000 mb and half duplex (or full if you want it that way for some reason)? The other systems being set to "auto" and working is not relevant, since we are not having problems with the other systems.
