Question : Problem: Using ANI (Automatic Number Identification) with a CISCO 5300

I have an AS5300 router with Voice capabilities. I want to be able to but a ANI number into my Dial Peer or where ever I need to put it so that when the call is sent out with the DNIS it is attached with an ANI Number also. I was told I can manipulate the ANI Number to be whatever I choose. I want to know if this is possible , and if so How do I configure it for this?

Are you sure you didn’t accidentally put in “translate-outgoing called” instead of  “translate-outgoing calling”, because if you did that it would cause what you are describing to happen?
