Question : Problem: Windows Mobile 5 alarms and reminder will not clear once dismissed

Hello,

I have a user with a smartphone from UTStarcom Running Windows Mobile 5. For some reason he has started having issue with alarms and reminders not clearing when he dismisses them.

1- He has deactivated all his alarms on the phone in the setting menu and they show deactivated, but they still ring at there previous scheduled time.
2- Whenever he dismisses any reminder concerning either the alarms or meetings in his Outlook calendar, the reminders come back whenever he reboots his phone.
                 On the computer side all is ok. Once the reminders are dismissed either from the phone or the computer they do not come back. they come back only on the phone.

Sounds like faulty firmware.

See if there is a patch or update.

Otherwise the phone may be defective.
