Question : Problem: AGP Errors
I have recently purchased a MSI 815 Motherboard(Model No-MS 6334).I have a pentium III 700 Mhz Processor, which i used to run on a Mercury i440ZX Motherboard. The problem which I'm facing now is that i cannot install my AGP card (32 MB S3 Savage 4) in the agp slot of the new 815 Motherboard. The computer gives an Windows protection error and keeps rebooting or it just freezes. The PC runs fine on the onboard VGA of the 815 motherboard. My dispay card is not faulty as it runs fine on my old motherboard or in my friends pc.I have also tested a Sis 4 mb card on my new motherboard and it runs fine.I have done the necessary settings from BIOS,I have also partitioned and formatted my hard disk and have done a fresh installation of windows 98se.I dont know what else to do now. Please help me.

Yes, that would be fine. Unless you are really into ultra-high resolution, fast paced games (i.e. Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament) you probably don't even need the GeForce 4 (and your CPU is a little underpowered to really fully utilize such a card, at least the GeForce 4 Ti 4x00 series). What price are you looking to pay? You can get an ATI Radeon 9000 or GF4MX that will do fine. Actually the R9000 would be better as it supports more features that will be used in future games than the GF4.
