Question : Problem: backup-ing data and downloading it

I am searching for something for archiving (periodicly)  the 'live' files  (some files, database files, svn repository,....), that allows for compression (zip, rar, 7z, bzip, gzip... anyone will do)
and wraps it up in a nice package to be downloaded via FTP by any remote clients.

On Windows 2003 Server

Answer : Problem: backup-ing data and downloading it

We use a product called BackupAssist (http://www.backupassist.com). It uses NTBackup as the engine, but the big difference is that it works, and we can use it to backup our SQL databases at the same time as our data backup. It has a few different compression methods that you can use, and we have set it up to FTP the compressed backup file to our remote server after the job is finished.

Really easy to use (especially for dummies like me!) and really cheap compared to other backup software.
