Question : Problem: How do you delete documents in the stupid printer queue?

RE: Compaq Presario 5000 1.0 GHz desktop running Windows XP and Corel Office 2002 WordPerfect 10, and trying to print to a HP DeskJet 882C printer. I inadvertently started printing an entire 22 page document where I intended to print only the current page. I tried and tried to delete the job in the print queue and it will not delete! It says 1 document in queue, "Deleting - Printing", but it doesn't. I shut down the printer (pulled the power plug, no less), shut down cold my PC, rebooted and the stupid document is still there wanted to be printed. After fooling around for twenty minutes trying this and that, "something" finally decided to delete the print file. When I tell it to "delete" a print file I want it deleted right then, not twenty minutes later. How do you do this, and who is at fault? H-P DeskJet, WordPerfect or Windows XP? I suspect that Windows "spooling" is the culprit, but how do you fix it? Thanks.
