Question : Problem: Ghost 2003  --  net.exe could not be opened to write

When trying to  create a floppy disk in Ghost 2003 to have it connect to a mapped drive, it says it could not open net.exe to write to it. Any suggestions?

Answer : Problem: Ghost 2003  --  net.exe could not be opened to write

ghost 2003 was designed to run from a floppy, so there is nothing wrong with that.  Check file permissions, it seems that one of the files on the floppy is read only.  Highlight all files, right click, attributes, and uncheck everything you see.  You have to unprotect the diskette for this, you may have to leave the diskette unprotected (i.e. the tab closed) for this boot floppy to work -- at least the first time, a temp file may need to be written to the floppy before it will work.  Going to a CD won't solve the problem, all on a CD is read only
