REplacing hard-drive in Dell Dimension 4400, get error: no boot device found.....
Gone inot bios, sees new drive, see cd-rom, see floppy, changed boot order, etc. same issue over and over?

if you cannot boot from different bootable cd's, you have a bad cd drive, or a bad ide cable.
Replace first the cable, then the drive
