Question : Problem: ntuser.dat and Outlook Express

how do I solve the problem of the error message - "error deleting File or Folder: cannot delete ntuser.dat : it is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again" which appears every time I try to open Outlook Express. When the message is ok ed Outlook Express does open. The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition. When Outlook Express opens it receives copies of an email which each take 15 minutes to be received and tie up the CPU 99%.

Change the location of the store data.
1) With OE open go to Tools > Options > Maintenance tab. 2) Click on the "Store Folder..." button. 3) Type a new location, OR click on "Change..." to choose a different location.
Once this is completed and the OE folder is moved away from default location, the message "ntuser.dat could not be deleted" should disappear.
