Question : Problem: Unable to Adjust background settings on Remote Desktop users connectin to 2003 Terminal Server

I am in the process of setting up a Windows 2003 Terminal Server. I believe I am now at the point in which I login as each user and setup their profile and desktop settings for the first time.

I have attempted this with the first user and have come across 2 problems.

1. The default background image set in active directory is not appearing. The remote desktop connection client is set to view the full background image.

2. When I got to amend the background colour I get a message "The visual styles could not be applied." error message. I think this is a security issue, but how can I get around this without allowing all our remote users to be included in the administrators group?

I have now resolved this problem. It appeared that the profile was somehow corrupt and after deleting it and logging in the above problems disapeared.
