Question : Problem: pcAnywhere:  Unable to connect to specified device

Using pcAnywhere 12.1 on an XP machine.  Trying to remote control a computer that I know has the host running.  Keep getting Communications Error:  Unable to connect to specified device.  

This is what I've tried to remedy the problem: IDisabled the Windows firewall and bypassed the hardware firewall by plugging directly into cable modem....still get the same error.

The pcAnywhere Help is useless.
I'm out of ideas, please help.

My bad.. I've just thought in other places...
Check your host....Is it started?
Check if ports 5631 and 5632 are opened.

Before atempting a connection, check if both computers are online..the host one..has some upload resources.
