Question : Problem: HP scanjet 3400c on winxp

I have a HP scanjet 3400c , does it does not work on anything above windows 98, i have installed the updated drivers but still really bad images appear, any advice?

So your scanner does work... Have you tried calibrating your scanner?

Calibrating your scanner:
1) Shut down and turn off the computer.
2) Disconnect the scanner from the power source.
3) Leave the scanner disconnected from the power source for 60 seconds.
4) Reconnect the power, and then restart the computer system.
5) When the computer system has restarted, try scanning again.
