Question : Problem: Backup Exec 12 won't operate my library

We recently bought a Quantum Superloader 3 with a DLT-V4 drive. It is connected to the server via an Adaptec 29160LP SCSI card. If I install Backup Exec 11d on the server, it recognizes the library and shows the drive under the library in Devices. It also allows me to perform any operation on the library (backup, erase, inventory, etc.). However, if I install Backup Exec 12 on the server, it sees the library but shows the drive under Stand-alone Drives. And with BE 12, none of the operations work with the library. Has anyone else had any issues with a similar hardware setup? Is it possible that the SCSI controller is incompatible with BE 12? Thanks.

did you install all updates? Just run Live Update to be sure. Also check for an updated DDI (Device Driver Install) on the Symantec website.
