Question : Problem: Samsung Synchmaster 173T DVI Input

I am using the DVI input of the Samsung 173T and the picture is excellent. However, when using the DVI input, all the OSD settings apart from Brightness and Contrast are "Not Available". When using the analogue input all OSD settings are available. Is this a standard feature of DVI inputs or just particular to the Samsung 173T ?

According to the review at http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review560_main2798_page2.html this is the normal functionality.
When using the DVI input, a lot of the 173Ts menu items will be unavailable due to the pure digital signal overriding the controls
