Question : Problem: Chaining Surge Protector/UPS

Hi,

I have a APC Back UPS 1000 and an APC surge protector. Is it not a good idea to plug the surge protector into one of the powered outlets on the UPS? If not, what about one of the unpowered outlets. I only have two outlets on the wall and want to plug in another UPS where the surge protector is now.

but chaining items is never a real good solution. people tend to use every space available on them which ends up overloading the circut.

but if you leave spaces open and don't use them you should be fine
