Question : Problem: Second Hard drive for laptop
This question surely has been asked but I can't find it here on EE.
I have a laptop that is basically about to die. I do not have a desktop. What I would like to do is to once a new laptop is purchased, either connect the old laptop hard drive as a secondary or somehow connect it to a USB so I can transfer data. Does such a thing exist? I know there are kits where I can attach it to a desktop but since I don't have that as an option, is there some sort of gadget that will let me connect the hard drive to the USB port to access files?

there are external hdd cases for the 3.5" hdd drives connects through usb. You can place your old drive within such a case and copy the data in it...
