Question : Problem: Can I use a Playstation 3 bought in UK (now) on 110v and on PAL-M?

I'm thinking of buying a PS3 current 40gb UK model and want to use it in Brazil while working there. My TV there is an LG LCD HD model and (I believe) accepts the native Brazilian PAL-M and also is switchable to NTSC. I'm told the PS3's universal power supply will work on 110v but I'd like confirmation. My main concern is the compatibility with the different TV standards. I accept the DVD region issues and also have heard that PS3 games are region-free.
Thanks, Andy

If you are using any sort of HD TV you should be fine. From what I remember the PAL/NTSC standards are used for non HD signals. You can have the PS3 work in 480/720/1080 resolutions in any region as long as the TV supports those HD Standards.

Yes the games are region free, but remember that most movies are not.

As for power, anywhere in the world you can always get a power converter to make a device work.
