Question : Problem: HELP!!! Have Dell D820 with LCD msg listed which Dell does not give the answer to. I would be greatly appreciated if someone can help with this.

PC was working fine all last weekend and upto Monday where suddenly the LCD stopped displaying anything.
-PC works fine with an external monitor.
-Monitor is recognized by the system's device manager.
-Ran the diagnostics tool built in laptop and got this error while its running the LCD inverter detection test:

Results: failed
msg: error 1000-0322 error accessing the LCD inverter.

If your laptop is not under warranty, you can replace the inverter yourself. It will cost you about 10 dollars. If you are willing to go down that road, this site may be helpful.
