Question : Problem: Can I use both PCI-E and PCI graphics cards at the same time for 3+ monitors ?
I have a motherboad with one PCI-E slot which currently holds a decent gaming ati HD4850 graphics card, two monitors are connected to it which I use for work and gaming.
I want to add a third monitor (a old plasma TV with an DVI input for watching films etc.). Can I simply buy a pci graphics card with DVI out and use that for displaying images on the TV ?
Would this intefere with the other card in any way? and would it degrade the quality of the picture much if any?
For example I saw this

ten_PCI/Zo
tac/
GF6200

ARDWARE&l1

n
Is this ok, or could I go even cheaper considering all I want to do is to watch the occasional HD movie etc.

Yes you can buy a PCI video card and use it for a 3rd monitor. To watch HD movies you may need a better card. maybe a Geforce 8400 or ATI 2400HD
