Question : Problem: Internet Explorer Security Settings
A download isn't working due to the security settings on my Internet Explorer - the download gets to the end, then a message pops up to say it has been blocked. I tried changing the security settings in my Tools/Security section of the browser, but I don't really know what I'm doing. Again, I never had this problem with my other Toshiba laptop (purchased May 2007), and running Vista, so they must have tweaked the default security settings somehow. Help?

That sounds more like a function of your antivirus software or possibly defender. Usually IE will block when you click to download, once you are past that stage, and the file is actually downloading, you are past any security that IE 7 has.
Could what you are downloading possibly be a virus laden file and your Antivirus software is acting on it?
