Question : Problem: How do I disable hotmail integration on my blackberry users through BES IT policies?

How do I disable hotmail integration on my blackberry users through BES IT policies? A user played around and added hotmail, and now his enterprise email only partially works. If we can just get rid of the hotmail stuff that will be a step in the right direction.

Answer : Problem: How do I disable hotmail integration on my blackberry users through BES IT policies?

Has the Hotmail account been added via BIS (e.g. You are running BIS and BES on the one device).  Once a secondary email account (in your case Hotmail) or application has been added to a device there is no way of removing it via I.T Policies.  The next best option is disable the functionality of these services by changing the following I.T Policies (this will also prevent new users from adding accounts):

> Service. Exclusivity Policy Group
    - Allow Other Message Services = FALSE
    - Allow Other Browser Services = FALSE

Also I would recommend adding the following items to the policy:

> Desktop Only Items
    - Enable WAP Config = FALSE
(This will disable any services that are charged at an addition cost as it forces data to use the BES's MDS)

> Security Policy
    - Disallow Third Party Application Download = TRUE
