Question : Problem: How to remove a DVD drive from an Acer mid-tower case?
I have an Acer desktop computer and want to replace the DVD drive but cannot remove the existing drive.
I've opened the case, slid the green locking tab and pulled on the back of the DVD drive...however, the drive will only slide an inch or so before it resists and will go no further. It feels like there is a barrier somewhere preventing it from moving further. The opening on the front of the case is smaller than the drive so it can only move toward the back. I've also tried removing the opposite case panel but there were no visible screws of mechanisms that would prevent the drive from being removed.
The case is a mid-tower and looks similar to this when opened:

...any help would be much appreciated! Seems like a simple task but I'm stumped.

You will need to remove the front bezel. There should be plastic pieces that you can depress from the side to release the front
