Question : Problem: toshiba satalite A105 normal startup hangs

toshiba satalite A105 hangs on normal startup.  Safe mode works ok.
I tried going to two earlier restore points. Tried using msconfig with "Diagnostic Startup" (basic devices and services only)  and  but still no luck.

It gets to the initial windows splash screen for a few seconds, then goes blank. I don't know if it means anything, but the "bridge media" indcator light is stuck on when this happens.  Normally this light is off.

Problem turned out to be a flash card reader that was mal-functioning.
I disabled it in the device manager after reinstalling the OS.
