Question : Problem: Problem with Umax Astra 2000p on Windows Xp

I recently upgraded to windows xp from windows 98.
But my scanner stopped working which is Umax Astra 2000p.
When I tried to reindtall the driver using the CD provided with the scanner it gave an error message after completing 93% installation that " an error has occured ".
I am unable to use my scanner.What should I do

Have you got the correct drivers for WIN XP. A lot of products are not coming with WIN 2K and XP drivers. Try downloading the latest drivers for the scanner.
Also check to see if the USB port is functioning properly, it may also need drivers.(can you try a web cam or something in the USB slot??)

If you are downloading the drivers go to these sites cause the American one will make you purchase the drivers??????????????
