Question : Problem: Using Ghost to replace a hard drive
So I have a copy of Ghost 11 and need to replace a hard drive in a laptop. Can someone give me an idea of the steps I need to take to do this? Do I create an image of the current hard drive first (saving it to a network location) and then put in the new laptop hard drive and then Ghost update the image from the network to the new hard drive?
I guess I don't understand how Ghost will "know" the laptop once the new hard drive is in place
Answer : Problem: Using Ghost to replace a hard drive
You will have use a ghost boot disk to connect to your GhostCast session to restore the image to the new hard drive.
