Ok, iTunes on my iMac organises and plays the mp3 files but which program will allow me to edit the tracks, for example cut the length of a song?

i've never taken the time to experiment with garageband myself, so i'm unaware of all its capabilities. if you want another option, i use amadeusII. there is amadeus pro for $40 and amadeusII for $30. i know you can get a fully functional trial version of amadeusII. read more about it and see if its for you: http://www.hairersoft.com/Welcome.html
