Question : Problem: Laptop screen is fading
I have a Toshiba 2065CDS laptop. It's screen is fading to white. You can see the icons faintly, and if you open the screen all the way until it lays completely flat on a desk you can see the icons better. Why viewing it at a very steep angle would give you better visibility is beyond me. From everything I've looked up, it's either an inverter or a backlight. I don't know which. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Well in all probability this seesm like a screen problem. The reason why u can see better at an angleis that the light reflects of the screen and cancels out the whiteness to some extent. Also called interference. Try giving a few gentle taps to the screen back and see if the colors or whiteness changes. This cud be a loose connector or possibley a circuit has gone bad leading to thsi problem. Try and attach an external monitor just in case if the onboard video card is going bad.
