Question : Problem: Cant restore ipod error message 1418

I have 20gb 4Gen it worked fine until I Plugin in to computer. itunes promted for restore reason dont know why but, so I Did. when restoring error message comes out "IPOD COULD NOT RESTORE. AN UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURRED 1418"

All my mp3 are gone but ipod is is still function, but when i go to settings about
i get this info
Capacity 0
Available 0
Format Unknown

I have run diagnosit on the disk and HD PASSED AND result showed 20gb

any suggestions would be great

Answer : Problem: Cant restore ipod error message 1418

When you do a "Restore" the IPod is clenaed as if you had formated it.

As the recovery failed you may try to format the IPod as if it is an externar HD, if you are using Windows you need to format the IPod with the FAT 32 file System.

To recover your songs you need to Syncronize the IPod with the computer that has that IPod registered.
In case you don't have yoour music on a computer it may be dificult to recover your music, how ever it may be possible.

Set your IPod has a Hard Disk and use some Data recovery program like R-Studio
